BROW/FORHEAD LIFT

The effects of aging can appear in the brow and forehead area as deep horizontal lines, heavy brows, and frown lines. At Lexington Plastic Surgeons, we are pleased to offer the brow lift procedure to our valued patients.

The Brow/Forhead Lift Procedure

A forehead lift, also known as a brow lift, is a surgical procedure that restores a more youthful appearance to the area above the eyes. This procedure improves the lateral hoods and horizontal lines that can make a person appear angry, sad or tired. Prior to this procedure, the facial structure, condition of your skin, hairline and muscle activity in the face are examined to determine which surgical approach will best achieve your cosmetic goals.

THE METHOD

The drooping skin and tissue in the face are removed in order to smooth the forehead and raise the eyebrows. The classic surgical method of performing this procedure typically takes about 1-2 hours and includes a coronal incision, running from ear to ear, across the forehead.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate for a forehead/brow lift is a non-smoking adult, in general good health. Frequently, those younger than age 40 will request this procedure if they have prematurely aging skin.
