LIPOSUCTION

The Liposuction Procedure
Liposuction involves a hollow, stainless steel tube and vacuum to remove localized fat deposits from beneath the skin, through small incisions. THE METHOD(S)
There are several approaches to liposuction including standard liposuction, power-assisted liposuction and laser-assisted liposuction:
Standard liposuction utilizes various cannulas (hollow, stainless-steel tubes) Power-assisted liposuction utilizes oscillating cannulas, which help break up fatty tissue deposit in difficult areas. This procedure allows surgeons to effectively perform higher volumes of liposuction in a faster time frame, without burn risks and trauma to fibrous tissues.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate for this procedure is a healthy, non-smoking adult. Patients undergoing this procedure should also have realistic expectations for the results after surgery.
RECOVERY/POST-OPERATIVE
- Adherence to post-operative and recovery instructions is critical and mandatory
- Transportation post-surgery is strongly recommended
- Up to several months for swelling to completely disappear
- Some supplements and vitamins are prohibited to reduced prolonged bleeding
